Update on the Development of a Cheverly Dog Park Mayor Riazi and Jordan Exantus (AICP, LEED AP Lead Park Planner (Northern Area) Park Planning & Development Division M-NCPPC) will review progress on identifying an additional acre parcel for creation of Cheverly Dog Park by Park and Planning. The additional acquisition is necessary to support a tree conservation plan and to address other site constraints. The next step in this process is for Mayor Riazi to formally request park and planning support for the creation of a dog park in the Town. Mayor Riazi is requesting Council support to move forward with this partnership.
COVID-19 Report – Town Administrator Town Administrator Galloway will provide a report to the Mayor and Council regarding the status of Town operations and a summary of actions taken under the COVID-19 State of Emergency.
Underground Storage Tank Director Brayman will provide an update on the underground storage tanks, and update Mayor and Council on communication with Maryland Department of the Environment.
SHA 202 Project The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) District Three traffic engineering staff has completed its review of the Town of Cheverly’s concerns regarding MD 202. The Mayor and Chief of Police will provide an update on the recommendations provided by SHA.
Deferred Compensation Town Administrator and Town Treasurer will engage in a conversation with Mayor and Town Council about deferred compensation budget liabilities and will make policy recommendations.
Budget Town Administrator and Town Treasurer will provide answers to submitted questions for the FY2021 budget. (Refer to April 16 budget Worksession materials.)
